- Topical: Searching the Scriptures by a subject matter.
- Systematically : going through Scripture in order per chapter by
consecutive chapter & verse by verse with little (if any)
interaction with other passages that may pertain to the verse being read
in numerical order as given to the sentences and chapters by the
translators; as the original Hebrew and Greek did NOT have such
‘chapters and verse’.

- Reading the Bible by topic sheds light on the topic searched for.
- Example:
- As there is no chapter or complete passage pertaining to all aspects of
‘Baptism’; we see that there are a few different types of ‘Baptism’
[Mt3:11]:
- 1/Water,
- 2/Repentance , and
- 3/the Holy Spirit.
- The examples of HOW one is water baptized is by immersion.
- The reason WHY is to outwardly verify what has been renewed within by
accepting Jesus as one’s personal Savior, thus dying to self and rising
to the “first resurrected” being the Lord Jesus [Jn11:25; 1Cor15:20].
- As to WHERE: it can be ANYWHERE, as long as we worship in “spirit and in
truth”. [Jn4:20-24]

- Another is faith. Who or what did the Old Testament folk believe in (aka, had their faith in)??
- Since the sacrificial lamb was the offering up for yearly sins, by what
account did they look to?? The lamb?? …or a representation of it??
- “Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for
righteousness.” [Gal3:6]
- We see that as Abraham believed God by putting his own self-reliance
aside and trusting (by believing) God to guide and provide for him and
his family (as he applied the rubber of faith to the road of reality).
- Other folk in the Old Testament are mentioned as to their faith (see
Heb11).
- <This [as well as other aspects in the Christian life-walk] ties into
salvation, redemption, and justification.>

- Reading through the Bible without researching something (looking
elsewhere in Scripture or any other helpbook) that you have a curiosity
about, like in the book of Revelation.
- Whatzup with this “mighty angel” in chapter 10??
- What’s all this “seven thunders”, and why does this “mighty angel” speak
like when a “lion roareth” [Rv5:5]??
- Who is this “mighty angel” that blows the “last trump”[1Cor15:52] “of
God” [1Thes4:16]??
- If we just stop here in Revelation without looking elsewhere in
Scripture, we may severely limit our understanding of what's going on,
and [W]ho this angel may be.

- By reading the Bible chapter by chapter, verse by verse, one can get the
‘feel’ for what the inspired author [2Tim3:16] saw and understood in
said book of the Bible. By
reading other books of the Bible, like the Gospels written by 4
different men inspired by the Holy Spirit, we get a clearer
understanding of how, what and why things happened.
- Matthew =Jesus' Messiahship
- Mark =Jesus' serventhood
- Luke =Jesus' as humanity [man]
- John =Jesus' as Deity
- So by combining both ways of reading the Bible, we get a more clearer
‘view’ of what God is showing us through His Word.

- By “rightly dividing the word of truth” [2Tim2:15] in taking into
account “all the counsel of God” [Acts20:27] we will be able to study
and understand what God has instructed us per His will in our lives.
- If we segment His written Word by ‘adding to or taking away’
[Rev22:18,19], we put ourselves in [eternal] ‘deep yogurt’.
- When a Greek or Hebrew word has several meanings, go with the one that
agrees with what the passage is saying.
- *'We need to base our theology on Scripture, not base Scripture on our theology.'<akr>
- Keep abiding , and do NOT deny the LORD!
- He IS coming again!
